2017 Guyana Report: Part 1

It has been a whole year, but feels like we were just here. Linden, Guyana. Working with the Burnham Drive and Amelia’s Ward congregations, it is always a great opportunity for us from Hoover. A highlight of each year. This trip began very fast. On Saturday the ladies from Hoover participated in Ladies Day at Burnham Drive and had moments of song, uplifting and encouraging each other. The men from Hoover went and held Bible studies at a small community in the bush not too far from Linden. They were great studies and I pray we will be able to continue those this week.

Today, Sunday, we are all splitting up and teaching and preaching at both the Amelia’s Ward and Burnham Drive congregations. It is always a great experience and service to our Lord with lots of singing, praise, and worship.

As the week begins, we look forward to rekindling old friendships that many of us have established here over the years, and making new friends while reaching out and sharing God’s word with those in the community. Please pray for the success and safety of our team and all those involved in Guyana 2017.

….’till next time.—Mike
