I’ve been happily married to Wendy for over 30 years and we have been blessed with 3 living children, and 1 who is waiting for us in Heaven. I have been the Associate Minister for the Hoover Church of Christ since October of 2011. I love my work and consider it an honor to serve with such a wonderful congregation of the Lord.
My responsibilities cover a wide scope of work including Director of our Brother’s Keepers Program, Coordinator of the Lads to Leaders Program, Song leading, Teaching, Preaching, Director of the Leadership Visitation Outreach, and Children’s Minister for all of our 5th grade and under and their families. The Hoover Church of Christ is filled with love, acceptance, and a burning desire to follow the word of God. I firmly believe that it is a place where you and your family could grow in the Lord. A little more about Kyle:
He started full time in the ministry in 1983 and since then, has served congregations in TN, GA, ID, KY and AL. Some of Kyle’s favorite hobbies include reading, singing, and golfing. He and Wendy also enjoy spending time with their 3 children, their spouses, and their 2 grandchildren, Crews and Mary Layson.
Kyle attended Freed Hardeman University and earned a B.S. degree in Bible in 1983.
